Manufactured in 1916 as part of a Belgian government contract for use in World War I and was sent in a shipment of 2,200 pistols November 24, 1916. Pistol is marked with Belgian "A" within a diamond acceptance mark on left side of frame. Otherwise standard features including polished blue finish, 3 - 3/4" barrel chambered in .32 ACP, half moon front sight, u-notch rear, 2-piece checkered hard rubber "COLT" grips with rampant Colt logos, and a 2 tone tempered magazine. CONDITION: Very good. Vast majority of the factory applied blue is retained with some areas including straps thinning to a gray patina and some spots of loss near the muzzle. Good bright bore showing well defined rifling and a few pits. Mechanically fine. A nice example. BAS
