Third model manufactured in 1883 by Winchester Repeating Arms. Fitted with a 24" octagon barrel chambered in .44-40 WCF with replacement sporting sights and a full length tube. Receiver has nickel appearance indicative of optional factory case hardening. Plain walnut sticks with steel nose cap and trap rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very good. A silvery gray patina is exhibited throughout. Loading gate retains significant portions of factory applied blued finish. Cartridge elevator has a pleasant mellow patina. Markings sharp. Stocks are very good with some light marks. Good bore with well defined rifling. Crisp mechanics. BAS
