The canvas is clean and the colors of the painting are bright and vivid. This stunning oil painting is nicely framed in distressed gold tone wood frame. Frame measures 31 - 1/2" tall x 28" wide x 2" deep. This large scale work of an English Setter is among one of his best known works. Alexander Pope’s artworks are included in many important collections, including the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Brandywine River Museum, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, the De Young Museum, the Farnsworth Art Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, among others.
