Manufactured in 1918 based on the British P14 Enfield to supplement M1903 rifles for American troops during World War I. Standard military configuration. Blued "10-18" dated and ordnance bomb marked 26" barrel chambered in .30-06 with protected blade front sight and adjustable peep rear sight graduated to 1600 yards. Standard marked receiver and "R" marked bolt. Full finger groove walnut military stock retained by 2 bands and complete with steel trap butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Majority of factory applied blued finish is retained with thinning and wear to a brown patina on some components, including stock hardware. Stock has a dark appearance with impression throughout as expected on a service rifle. Good bight bore displaying strong rifling. Mechanically fine. BAS
