Made March 1943. Boxed "FJA" stamp on the left side of the stock. Circled "P" firing proof on the bottom of the wrist. Remington barrel dated "3-43", with a flaming bomb above the date. Standard blade front sight with rear milled aperture. Front sight has an original protector on it. Most parts look to be Remington production, including the stamped trigger guard. Straight grip wood stock with no finger grooves. Checkered metal butt plate with trapdoor for cleaning kit. Includes attached period green canvas sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish. Wood is excellent as well. Bore is shiny with crisp 4 groove rifling. Muzzle gauges at a 2. Mechanically fine. Sling is excellent. JWA
