Manufactured 1920. Standard blade-and-notch sights, rear sight is a round top U-notch sight. Left side of slide with "PATENTED / APR 20, 1897. DEC. 22, 1903" and "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." with an uncircled pony at rear. Right side of slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" under ejection port. Black composite grips with "COLT" in banner and a cast in pony. Heel magazine release with magazine marked "CAL 32 / COLT" on baseplate. Housed in a contemporary pasteboard box. CONDITION: Overall excellent, retaining the vast majority of the Colt blue finish, with some slight marks from handling and storage throughout. One concentrated area of oxidation just ahead of trigger guard, measuring 1/2" by 1/2" at the widest point. Other flecks of oxidation on chin of frame and right side of slide. Some silvering to high edges and reciprocating areas. Serial number is light, but based on color of bluing and distension of stamps, this cataloguer believes it to be a light roll rather than evidence of refinish. Mechanically fine, bore is good with strong rifling and even oxidation throughout. Box fine as associated. EMW
