Model 1908 Vest Pocket manufactured by Colt in 1922. The left side of the slide stampings stipulating Colt's manufacturer and patent information followed by the Rampant Colt logo, with the right side being stamped "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 25". Left side of frame bears the serial number, with Colt's "VP" proof on the trigger guard web. Major metal components are blued, with the hammer, grip safety, and slide stop lever being case color hardened. Frame is mounted with 2-piece black checkered hard rubber grips, embellished with "COLT" above the Rampant Colt logo on either panel. Matching numbers are present on the frame as well as on the interior of the slide. Pistol is accompanied by a non-matching factory cardboard box, exhibiting a Oklahoma City Hardware Co. label on the lid and containing a reproduction 1908 Vest Pocket manual. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory applied blue finish, exhibiting some mild edge wear overall. Case colored components exhibit some spots of light wear, but otherwise retain vibrant coloring overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Hard rubber grips show some minor marks from storage and handling, but are otherwise fine. Box shows some exterior wear, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. MLW
