Standard configuration Imperial Japanese Type 94 Nambu semi-automatic pistol manufactured at the Chuo Kogyo arsenal under supervision of the Nagoya Army Arsenal in July of 1937. The right side of the frame is stamped "(showa) 12.7" followed by the Nagoya and Chuo Kogyo arsenal symbols, as well as the serial number. Left side bears stampings stipulating the model designation. Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being strawed. Frame is mounted with a proper set of 2-piece checkered plastic grips. All numbers are matching including the magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Right side of frame bears a small area that appears to have been lightly touched up. Grip straps show some thinning to brown patina as well as usual surface oxidation from handling. Strawed components show wear from use, with worn areas showing age related discoloration. Bore is bright, exhibiting some light oxidation and retains good rifling throughout. Grips show some some scattered marks from handling and storage, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. An attractive and matching early production Type 94 Nambu. MLW
