A wonderful example of a Jules Cuendet cylinder music box playing a Fattie cylinder with 20 tunes. There were at least two groups of Cuendets making musical boxes in and after 1885: Jules Cuendet at L'Auberson, from 1828-1910, and his brothers at nearby Ste.-Croix. They bought blanks and combs from various sources, the most likely source being Karrer, and made little effort to identify their products. This example has a wonderful hand-grained cabinet showing light surface scratches, complete un-repaired combs, original tune card, and overall a beautiful working music box.

Condition: (Excellent).
