Model 1900 American Eagle Luger manufactured by DWM. The receiver bears an American Eagle insignia over the chamber, with the intertwined "DWM" monogram over the chamber. Front of frame is stamped "GERMANY" below the serial number. Major metal components are rust blued, with some smaller components being strawed and nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, barrel, receiver, breech block, toggles, as well as on the interior of the grips. Pistol is accompanied by a custom period leather sling as well as a wood felt lined display case. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their rust blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and some spots of light thinning overall that show through to pleasant gray and brown patinas. Bore is bright, exhibiting some inactive oxidation and retaining good rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing some light smoothing, a few light impressions, and a couple scattered nicks to the diamonds. Left grip panel bears a loss to the rear of the safety lever. Holster shows heavy age related cracking and crazing overall, with some areas of loss to the stitching. Wood case is very good. MLW
