Model 1903 semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Colt in 1904. Left side of slide bears early stampings stipulating the patent and manufacturer information followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo, with the right side bearing the caliber designation. Major metal components have been reblued, with some smaller components being nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered "COLT" marked hard rubber grips, exhibiting an encircled Rampant Colt logo at the bottom of the panels. Slide markings have been recut, with the encircled Rampant Colt logo having been restamped. Features include a 4" barrel, flat barrel bushing, half-moon front sight, as well as a dovetailed square notch rear sight. CONDITION: Excellent as restored, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few areas of silvering from operation of the action as well as a few areas of cleaned oxidation beneath the finish. Bore exhibits pitting and good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit some scattered marks from handling and storage, with areas of varying degrees of smoothing overall. A nicely restored, early production Colt Model 1903 Hammerless pistol. MLW
