Made 1944. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S.ARMY" marked on the right side of the frame. There is a crossed cannons cartouche behind the right grip panel. "FJA" inspectors cartouche on the left side of the frame. "P" firing proof below the magazine release. "ITHACA GUN CO., INC / ITHACA.N.Y." marked on the left side of the slide. "P" marked in front of the rear sight. "HS" marked High Standard contract barrel. "P" marked on the left lug. Blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory parkerized finish on the metal components. Keyes fibre grips. Includes an early production 2-tone blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few scratches. Grips are excellent. Bore is lightly frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. JWA
