Made mid-1918. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked on the bottom of the barrel, with the company address and patent dates on the top. Army property markings and serial number retained on the butt. Eagle's head proof on the left top of the frame, in addition to the rampant Colt pony. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and yolk. Blade front sight and U-notch rear. Reapplied blued finish and checkered plastic grips. Lanyard ring and stud are present on the butt. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its reapplied finish. Grips have light wear. Bore is lightly frosted, but retains strong rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lock up. Mechanically fine. JWA
