Hi-Power semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Fabrique Nationale in the early to mid-1950s. The left side of the slide bears Browning's importer information above "MADE IN BELGIUM", with the left side of the frame bearing 2 Belgian proofs. Right side of frame bears the serial number "63570" with an additional Belgian proof on the trigger guard web. Frame exhibits a phosphate finish and is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Top and bottom of the "notched" slide are phosphate finished, with the sides being blued. Semi-Ramp/post front sight, with target adjustable rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame and barrel. Frame is unnumbered. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory applied finish, exhibiting some areas of light edge wear, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage overall that show through to silvering. Mirror bore, exhibiting some firing residue in the grooves, but otherwise retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show few minor handling marks overall, with the right grip panel exhibiting a loss at the top of the panel. MLW
