Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 bolt action rifle made by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1955 and customized for William K. Dupont by an unknown gunsmith in 1957. Blued 24" glass bedded non-maker marked tapered rifled round sightless barrel marked with caliber stamping of "7X61 S&H". Blued Winchester pre-64 Model 70 action with original 3-position safety and hollow bolt handle. Original blued floorplate engraved with "WILLIAM K. DUPONT/WILMINGTON, DELAWARE/1957". Action fitted with 4X Unertl Hawk scope with fine dot reticle. Custom Circassian walnut pistol grip checkered Monte Carlo stock with cheekpiece, oversized extended walnut grip, recoil pad, and contrasting wood forend cap with quick detachable sling swivels. A beautiful well-proportioned gun. CONDITION: 90% barrel blue with hunting dings and scratches. Wood has 90% original remaining finish with hunting and usage marks and wear. Excellent bore and mechanics with clear optics. A very nice rifle. DLM
