Manufactured in 1886. This is the first successful double action that Colt manufactured, with a run of just 166,849 guns being manufactured from 1877 through 1909. Two line address on top of the barrel and an etched panel on the left of the barrel. 3 line patent date on the left front of the receiver. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, and the back of the cylinder. The 2 piece hard rubber grips also have the serial number on them in pencil. CONDITION: The action works in both single and double action. The action locks up tight and indexes fine. Gun retains 90% of the original factory nickel plating. Nitre blue on the hammer and trigger is about 90%. Bright and shiny bore with strong lands and grooves. Grips show some slight wear. REW
