German combination gun "Drilling" made by "WALTER PAUL, HAMELN" with 16 gauge and 8 x 57 JR barrels marked "FLUSSSTAHL KRUPP ESSEN".. Underneath the barrel are "U" and "NITRO" proofs, as well as "7.8mm", "57", proof date of "1.27", etc. Blued matted barrel with flip-up rear sight, blade front sight, and double-claw scope bases. No visible serial number. Receiver has light engraving, and trigger guard is blued. Top lever opens breech, rifle has double exposed hammers, dual triggers, and slider safety. Walnut stock and forearm have grip checkering. Sling swivels are present on barrel and rear of stock. Plastic butt plate and horn grip cap. CONDITION: Overall very good, retains 70-75% of its blued finish with brown patina, and receiver have light freckling and patina. Stock has been cleaned and lightly sanded. Horn grip cap has moderate damage. Bores are bright and gun is mechanically sound. WEZ
