Iver Johnson "Hammer Forged" side by side shotgun made by the Iver Johnson Arms And Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Massachusetts from 1936 to 1941. 26" blued fluid steel barrels with raised matted rib, bead front sight, extractors, and fixed "FULL" and "FULL" chokes. Blued receiver marked with company name on right side and "IVER JOHNSON / HAMMER FORGED" on left. Walnut checkered English straight grip stock with Iver Johnson hard rubber buttplate. Matching checkered walnut forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with some corner and carry wear. Frame polished to a silvery color with opening lever and trigger guard retaining 50% original blue. Wood has added coat of oil fading in normal wear areas and handling areas. Good bores and mechanics. DLM
