Civilian Model Colt Single Action Army revolver made in 1875. Serial number 15426. 7 - 1/2" barrel, with italic barrel address marked "-COLTS PT. F.A. Co. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A.-". Showing partial die break with "o" in "Co.". Chambered in .45 LC caliber. Blue with case hardened frame and hammer. 2-line patent dates on left side of frame marked: "PAT. SEPT.19.1871 / PAT. JULY.2.1872" Matching serial number 15426, found on barrel under ejector housing, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. Assembly number 754 found on loading gate and inside bottom of frame. Colt inspector stamp "O" found inside hammer slot. First model ejector housing with locator dowel, and Donut ejector rod. 1-piece varnished walnut grips. Small bolt locking slots on cylinder, without "approaches". CONDITION: Fine with a pleasing brown/grey patina overall. Traces of original blue on trigger guard. Generous amount of original blue on barrel under the ejector housing. Grips are fine with most of the original varnish, showing modest wear on edge of butt. Bore is excellent. Action is tight and crisp. Overall a very clean and honest early model Colt Single Action Army revolver. -MKS-
