Jugate CDV portraits of George and Martha Washington. Oval albumen photographs of their portraits mounted on an embossed paper carte-de-visite mount showing an eagle on crossed flags at top and a U.S. shield at bottom. Portraits are mounted within individual embossed oval imitating frames with starred borders. Alden, Providence, Rhode Island, backmark, and "Alden . . . Patent Applied For. . . Artist" imprint lower front. CONDITION: Excellent.
