Circa 1966, A nice 28 gauge with 26 - 1/2" shiny blacked steel barrels. Barrels are fit with ejectors, 2 - 3/4" chambers and a machined ventilated raised rib. Rib is fit with a small white round mid bead and a larger white round front. Top barrel reads "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST. LOUIS Mo. & MONTREAL P.Q.","MADE IN BELGIUM". Top barrel on right reads "SPECIAL STEEL - 28 GAUGE-SHELLS 2 3/4".","PATENTS No2.203.378-2.233.861". Chokes are skeet and skeet. The gray silver patina boxlock action is finely engraved with scrolls, flying pigeons on both left and right exterior walls. Engraver is "BA" as signed on bottom exterior of both walls. Bottom action is also engraved with scrolls and rose bouquets. Top of action is engraved with leaves and scrolls. Top lever is engraved with fine scroll and thumb piece is checkered. Safe slide is engraved with fine scroll and a serrated pyramid-shaped thumbpiece. Slide safe with integral barrel selector. Gun is non-auto safe. The reddish-brown high gloss stock has been built with a fine checkered round knob pistol grip, oval with initials "WEF" and finished with a black "BROWNING" buttplate. Gold-washed single mechanical trigger is protected by a silver-grey patina trigger guard with fine scroll engraved. Trigger guard extends to a 3/4 length bottom strap. Traditional Browning forend is fit with a scroll engraved latch release. Fine little gun lives in its traditional brown "BROWNING" luggage case. Includes original cardboard box as well. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain approximately 90% original black with some spotting. Bores are bright. Action, ejectors and trigger are all sound. Trigger guard with some spotting. Stock very good with some handling marks. Forend is very good with few minor handling marks. Case also very good with some storage marks. Nice upland gun! CP
