M1A1 Paratrooper carbine semi-automatic rifle made between October 1942 and December 1943 by Inland Division of General Motors. 18" round parkerized finished barrel marked INLAND MFG DIV/GENERAL MOTORS dated 4-43 with Type I milled front sight and correct rear flip sight. Correct Inland marked trigger group with push-button safety, Type III magazine catch, slide, and blued Type II flat bolt. Walnut IO marked high wood stock with "FAT BOY" grip marked with "P", crossed cannons and "IO" with correct iron skeleton stock with leather cheekpiece with correct brass rivets and "B257614" marked cast steel buttplate. Correct walnut 2-rivet deep groove handguard marked "IO". Correct sling band with olive color woven sling. Comes with blued flat bottom World War II style 15-round magazine marked "KSG". CONDITION: 90% original military finish on metal with some light surface marks. Wood has traces of original finish with handling and storage wear. Excellent bore (ME: 1) and good crisp mechanics. A great example of an M1A1 Paratrooper carbine. DLM
