One of 1776 cased 3 gun sets manufactured for the American Bicentennial in 1976, containing 3 of Colt's finest revolvers through time: the Dragoon, Single Action Army, and Python, all with patriotic motifs including "1776 - U.S.A. BICENTENNIAL - 1976" barrel markings. Gun (A) is a 2nd Generation .44 caliber 3rd Model Dragoon percussion revolver with 7 - 1/2" blued barrel, 6-shot cylinder with standard Indian fight scene, case hardened frame, silver-plated grip straps, and 1-piece rosewood grips with silver-plated US seal. It is accompanied with a flask, cap tin, mold, and wrench. (B) is a 3rd Generation .45 Colt Single Action Army revolver with blued 7 - 1/2" barrel, non-fluted cylinder roll stamped with American flag and 13 colonies, case hardened frame, blued grip straps, and 1-piece smooth rosewood grips with silver-plate US Seal. (C) is a royal blue finished .357 Magnum Python double action revolver with 6" vent rib barrel, standard sights, non-fluted 6-shot cylinder roll marked with patriotic motifs, and 2-piece rosewood grips inset with silver-plated US seal. All 3 revolvers are housed in the appropriate and attractive walnut 3 drawer display cabinet fitted for the guns and accessories. An additional slot is filled with a leather-bound bicentennial edition of "Armsmear" with gilt details. CONDITION: Overall excellent. Virtually all of the factory finishes are retained with a few very minor handling marks. Python has a faint turn line. Case is very good with a chip present on the right foot. A great set! BAS
