Circa 1980. A nice 12 bore scalloped frame boxlock game gun with 27 - 1/2" chopper lump blacked steel barrels. Barrels are fit with ejectors, 2 - 3/4" chambers and a machined cross filed tapered concave rib. Rib with small steel bead front sight. Top of the right barrel reads "ACCIAIO-SIAU-UM6" and the left barrel reads "FLLI-PIOTTI-ITALY". Barrel flats stamped with "7507" gun serial number and appropriate Italian proof. Chokes are Full and Modified. The coin finished action is nicely appointed with English style rose and scroll engraving by "GRANETTI" as signed by the right-hand side of the trigger guard. The double triggers, front-hinged are protected by a coin finished right hand rolled trigger guard which is also rose and scroll engraved and extends to a long bottom strap also engraved. Top lever with matched scroll engraving, coin finished and checkered thumb piece on the left. Safe slide is engraved and checkered and "SICURA" is engraved. The action is fit with gas escapes. Gun is non-auto safe. Bottom strap with gun's serial number "7507". Nicely figured European walnut stock with honey-golden color and fine point checkered English straight hand grip. Butt is finished with an Oxblood color leather-covered recoil pad. Splinter forend with matched checkering, engraved exterior iron metal, gold logo crest and checkered Anson-styled push-button release. Gun lives in a green canvas motor case. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 98% of their original black. Bores are shiny. Action with good case coloring and functions well. Ejectors are in time and trigger is crisp. Stock and forend with minor handling marks. Case is also very good with some handling marks. Very nice gun! CP
