Circa 1988. A very nice 20 bore sidelock game gun with 26" chopper lump blacked steel barrels. Barrels are fit with ejectors, 2 - 3/4" chambers and a machined cross filed tapered flat rib. Rib with steel round front bead sight. Barrel flats stamped with "5871" gun's serial number and with appropriate Italian proofs. Chokes are Improved Modified and Improved Cylinder. The deep colored case hardened action is nicely appointed with English-style rose and scroll engraving by "INC. BERNADELLI" as signed on right-hand side of trigger guard. Bottom action is engraved with scrolls and with a brace of flying quail through field. The case colored single inertia trigger is protected by a case colored right hand rolled-edge trigger guard which is scroll engraved and extends to a long bottom strap also engraved. Top lever with matched engraving, case colored and with checkered thumb piece. Safe slide is checkered and "S" is engraved. Gun is non-auto safe. Bottom strap with gun's serial number "5871". The European walnut stock with smoky grain has been nicely adorned with drop points, fine point checkered English straight grip. Buttstock is checkered and nicely appointed with scroll engraved, color case hardened heel and toe plates. Splinter forend with matched checkering, engraved exterior iron metal, gold logo crest, case colored escutcheon and checkered Anson styled push-button release. Gun lives in a dark brown leather case with Bertuzzi black and silver leather case label, cleaning, and rod accessories. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 98% of their original black. Bores are shiny and ring like bells. Action with good case coloring and functions well. Ejectors are in time and trigger is crisp. Stock and forend with minor handling marks. Case is also very good with some handling marks. Very nice gun! CP
