91/30 PU bolt action sniper rifle manufactured domestically in Hungary in 1952. Hungary, being the only country to domestically produce the 91/30 PU rifle without Soviet parts. These rifles were produced only for a short time between 1952 - 1954, largely owing to their desirability amongst collectors today. This example is stamped with the manufacturer code "02" above "1952" a Hungarian crest and the serial number over the chamber, with small Hungarian proofs stamped overall. Rifle is mounted with 3.5x21mm PU optic that is stamped "41/ 1954" (indicating the manufacturer code and date of manufacture) as well as with the batch number and serial number. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, bolt, buttplate, and floorplate. Optic does not match. CONDITION: Very good overall with metal components retaining the vast majority of their factory blue finish, save for the buttplate, which exhibits moderate edge wear and light oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Stock is very good, exhibiting some scattered marks from handling and storage. Right side of upper handguard and left side of butt exhibit a gouge, that does not appear to effect serviceability. Exterior of optic shows some wear and minor losses to the finish. Optic is clear.
