1957 vintage Colt Python .357 Magnum, serial number 4920, purchased new February 1, 1958 in Miami, Florida per an included ownership card. Classic royal blue finished 6" barrel matted vent rib, ramped front sight, and adjustable square notch rear sight. Standard 1-line address stamped on left of barrel with model and caliber markings on the right side. 6-shot fluted cylinder and rampant Colt trademark marked frame. Fit with early style 2-piece checkered walnut target grips inset with Colt medallions. Housed in a woodgrain 2-piece box marked with serial number on underside and complete with factory paperwork. CONDITION: Near excellent. Nearly all of the lustrous factory applied blued finish is retained throughout with some light handling marks, a turn line, and a few freckles on the cylinder. Grips are fine retaining sharp checkering with a few minor marks on the butt. Excellent mirror bore and fine mechanics. Box has separated at 2 corners on the lid, but is otherwise very good.
