PPK semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Walther for the German military during World War II. The left side of the slide bears the Walther banner logo followed by stampings stipulating the manufacturer information, caliber, and models designations. Left side of slide and frame bear a military acceptance "(Eagle) / WaA359" waffenamt. Right side of slide, chamber, and barrel exhibit a German eagle/N nitro proof. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with rare 1-piece gray/brown Walther banner checkered plastic grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame and slide. Accessories include a unmarked brown leather holster, as well as 2 spare magazines. This example is accompanied by 2 capture certificates, indicating that pistol by serial number was captured by Private First Class Henry J. Young on the 10th of September 1945, with the second capture form listing "1 ea. German Walther .32" on the 16th of September 1945. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning showing through to pleasant gray and brown patinas overall, as well as a few small spots of cleaned oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips are very good, exhibiting a few minor handling marks overall. Holster is still soft and malleable, missing some stitching at one side of the flap, and showing moderate wear overall. A very nice example of an honest World War II U.S.G.I. captured Walther PPK pistol. MLW
