German World War II mismatched pair of MP38/40 pouches. The right side 3-cell pouch is an early war example made from an olive gabardine twill weave fabric with light wear and soiling. Black leather belt loops, early war "D"-ring corner strap, and pouch closure straps are supple with light wear and damage. "MP38 u. 40" is stamped in black ink on the upper rear, and the upper belt loop has a faint "WaA446", with what appears to be parts of a marking on the lower one. Left side 3-cell pouch and loading tool pouch are made of a coarser olive canvas with fading, wear, and staining. A faint "MP38 u. 40" is stamped in black ink on the upper back. No other markings are visible. Black leather belt loops, "D"-ring corner strap, and pouch closure straps are stiff with light wear. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
