Third Reich forestry service "Forstaufseher/ Forstwart" (forester/ forest ranger) overcoat marked to a tailor "W. Michovius, Cottbus, Gegr. 1843" (a tailor founded in 1843 in Cottbus, Germany). The overcoat is made from a fine "hunter green" wool with no visible damage, with a dark green wool collar. The coat is lined in a medium green rayon with no visible damage and very light soiling near the tailor tag. A tag is inside the lining which identifies the tailor as a provider of forestry and hunting clothing. A name is present on the tag with the date of "16.10.42" (October 16, 1942). A dagger hangar is attached to the lining and passes through a slit through the wool body. Two bullion piped rank tabs are machine sewn to the collar, and 2 rank shoulder boards each with a rank egg corn are properly sewn into the shoulder, with 1 of 2 attachment buttons missing. Ten black plastic buttons secure the coat, and another button is the the rear belt. CONDITION: Overall excellent plus. WEZ
