New Navy double action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1904. The left side of the barrel is stamped "COLT. D.A. 38", with Colt's 2-line address across the top. Left side of frame bears the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being nitre blued. Features include a 6" barrel, half-moon front sight, frame notched rear sight, as well as 2-piece Colt checkered hard rubber grips. Matching assembly numbers are present on the cylinder crane assembly as well as the cylinder latch. Interior of grips assembly number matches via a hand-scribed serial number. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to a pleasant brown patina, as well as some scattered spots of inactive oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of light inactive oxidation, but otherwise retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing some minor handling marks and a few minor nicks to the diamonds. MLW
