1865 vintage Colt Model 1862 Police percussion revolver, serial number 30282. 4 - 1/2" round barrel in .36 caliber rifled with cone front sight, frame notch rear, and fluted cylinder. 1 piece plain walnut grips. Matching serial numbers observed on butt, trigger guard, frame, cylinder arbor, barrel, and wedge. CONDITION: Good, with traces of original bluing in cylinder flutes and near rammer with balance turned a freckled gray patina. Rammer shows traces of original case colors. Grips are excellent with minor finish loss at edges. Action needs attention as cylinder is out of time. Bore is frosted with abrasion throughout from period use with corrosive black powder and well-defined rifling. TON
