Lots consists of two bright mounted small swords, last quarter 18th century. (A) Steel mounted with slightly dished solid, circular guard. Hilt decorated with circles of raised dots. Long ricasso with floral motifs engraved and impressed, transitioning into hexagonal blade with abstract intertwined scroll motif and spears at top. Probably circa 1780-90, for court use. CONDITION: Very good. (B) Nice quality openwork silver pommel and guard cast and chased with a profusion of floral motifs with some martial elements like a quiver and furled flag mixed in. Circa 1750. Blade with long ricasso with floral scrolls, transitioning to hexagonal with cursory floral elements at top. CONDITION: Very good. Slight gap between grip wrap and pommel. Very good blade with good edge and point.
