German late 1930s KKW (KK Wehrsportgewehr) training rifle in .22 Long made by "Walther". Marked as such on sides of the receiver with "Eagle Nitro" and "BUG" proofs, "KAL .22 LANGE FUR BUCHSEN", and with some very unique additional markings. Left side is the rear receiver is marked "200 JAGERSTANDARTE" and the right side is marked "S.A DER NSDAP", with the serial number "4676" on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. Rear sight is the standard .22 K98K style sight adjustable to 200 meters, with standard drift adjustable front sight blade. Walnut stock (with bolt take-down disc) and handguard, with the right rear of the stock having the SA marking of "SA - Sta 9" stamped there, and the left side having the name of "K.SCHREIBER" stamped. Original era sling is attached, with no cleaning rod present. Rear butt plate is blued steel, and a previous collector has attached white tape on it identifying the rifle. CONDITION: Rifle is overall excellent and retains 90+% of it blued finish. Walnut stock has scratches and light dings and dents. Bore is bright, trigger functions correctly, and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
