Frame is Colt production, being made in 1944. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" marked on the right side of the slide. Crossed cannons cartouche behind the right grip panel. "G.H.D." inspector proofs on the left side of the frame, in addition to a firing "P" under the magazine release. "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." marked slide, with a "P" firing proof on the top of the slide. Barrel is Springfield marked. Original parkerized finish on the frame and slide. Keyes Fibre checkered plastic grips. Unmarked blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish, with most of the wear on the slide. Grips have a few minor handling marks. Bore is clean overall, with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. JWA
