Made October 1943. 1953 dated barrel with a DOD Eagle proof. Blue Sky import marked on the right side of the barrel. Operating rod, bolt, and trigger group are all Springfield production. Standard sights. Arsenal reapplied parkerized finish. Sanded and oiled wood stock. Checkered metal butt plate with cleaning kit inside. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its finish with areas of general wear. Wood has minor handling marks and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted, but retains strong rifling. Muzzle gauges at a 1. Throat at a 0. Screw holding the stacking swivel is absent. Mechanically fine. JWA
