Manufactured circa 2007 as part of the Classic Series, as a reissue of the venerable M1917 .45 ACP revolver which served in WWI to substitute the standard .45 M1911 pistols. Classic blued 5-1/2" round barrel with half moon front sight and frame notch rear. 6-shot fluted swing out cylinder fitted in a square butt N frame with lanyard loop. Case hardened smooth trigger and checkered hammer. Outfitted with an attractive set of aftermarket checkered rosewood grips with inset brass "S&W" monogram medallions. Accompanied by a numbers matching factory hard case. CONDITION: Near excellent with a few minor handling marks and a turn line. case colors have faded. Frosted bore displaying crisp rifling.
