A modification of the highly venerated 1911A1 design which eschewed the traditional barrel link and locking lugs in favor of a straight blowback system, these pistols were designed for ISSF centerfire matches where shooting .38 Special wadcutters was the de facto round of choice. Smooth black front and rear Elliason black on black sights with a serrated sighting plane, standard slide legends, serrated Gold Cup trigger, slide release, left side only safety, front strap, and flat mainspring housing. Magazine with correct .38 Special marking and configuration. CONDITION: Overall excellent, showing some light marks from handling and operation. Slide has some spotted patina around sights, and what appears to be oil staining on some of the polished metal, such as hammer and trigger. Frame is excellent with some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine although sluggish from congealed oil, bore is excellent, bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. EMW
