Made 1973. "COLT'S GOVERMNET MODEL" marked on the right side of the slide, with Series 70 markings and the caliber marked on the left, in front of a rampant Colt pony. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard. Company address found above the serial number on the right side of the frame. 5" barrel with blade front sight and U-notch rear. Polished nickel finished slide, with the frame matte on the rounded areas. Oiled, smooth finish wood grips with silver Colt medallions. Matte nickel finished magazine with "COLT SUPER / .38 AUTO." marked on the bottom. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish with a few handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore has some light residue from firing, retaining crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. JWA
