Made 1978. "GOLD CUP / NATIONAL MATCH", marked next to a trophy on the right side of the slide. Left side of the slide has normal Series 70 markings. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard. "NM" marked barrel with blade front sight and Elliason marked U-notch rear. Original blued finish on the metal components. Oiled checkered wood grips with gold Colt medallions. Adjustable trigger. Standard blued steel commercial magazine. Metal retains 98% of its original finish with a few handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. JWA
