Kentucky style percussion rifle made by J.G. Philips of Schofield, Wisconsin circa 1865. 37" octagon .50 caliber rifled barrel with rifle sights stamped "J.G Philips". Sowers & Smith marked percussion lock with double set trigger control. Curly maple half stock with floral engraved brass furniture and pewter nose piece. Comes with original hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with dark overall patina. Period wrist repair with brass formed plate. Dark bore with functioning mechanics. DLM
