Made circa 1945 as part of the Chinese contract. This gun would not make it to China. Canadian broad arrow and crossed rifle proofs on the right side of the frame. Import marked on the bottom the grip. Matching serials on the slide, barrel and frame. Standard blade front sight with rear tangent adjustable to 500 meters. Original parkerized finish and checkered black plastic grips. Lanyard stud and ring are still attached. "JL", for John Inglis marked on the base plate of the magazine. Includes wood shoulder stock, being marked "MADE IN CANADA" on one side, with "S.A.LTD / 45" marked on the other. Stock was sanded and refinished with a heavy varnish. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with a heavy brown patina forming on the slide. Grips have light handling marks and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted with strong rifling retained. Mechanically fine. Magazine has cleaned pitting. Stock has light wear. Of note, the stock does not fit on the gun. JWA
