1880 vintage Winchester Model 1866 lever action saddle ring carbine, serial number 154018. 20" round barrel converted to .44 Centerfire with standard carbine rear sight and integral blade front on front barrel band. Right side of frame is aftermarket marked "JS" in punchdot. 2 piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with brass carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Fair, with steel assemblies turned a heavy gray-brown patina. Stock and forearm are in matching condition with crack at forearm end, buttplate tang, and both sides of frame tang with heavy handling marks and repaired cracks throughout. Bore is dark with visible rifling. TON
