Made 1943. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked on the right side of the frame, in addition to "M1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". Crossed cannons cartouche found behind the right grip panel. "REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE.N.Y.U.S.A." markings on the left side of the slide. "FJA" inspectors stamp on the right side of the frame. "P" proof on the top of the slide, and under the magazine release. "HS" marked, High Standard sub contracted barrel, with a "P" proof on the left lug. Standard blade front sight and U-notch rear. Early Du-lite finish, having a dark gray/blued appearance. Keyes fibre checkered grips. Includes a blued steel Risdon contract magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 97% of its original finish with a few handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean overall, with strong rifling retained. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. JWA
