Second Series Type 14 Nambu manufactured at the Toriimatsu arsenal in April of 1944. Left side of frame bears Kanji characters denoting the model designation, as well as additional Kanji characters at the safety lever. Right side bears a Nagoya arsenal symbol and serial number above the date code "19.4". Metal components are salt blued, with the bolt being in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece serrated wood grips. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the firing pin which is unnumbered and the magazine which is numbered "078" on the spine. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original arsenal applied salt blue finish, exhibiting areas of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent, exhibiting few minor marks from handling and storage overall. MLW
