Standard configuration P.08 manufactured clandestinely by Mauser in 1935. The receiver is stamped "G" over the chamber, with Mauser proofs on the right hand side. Drooping eagle waffenamt is present on the right side of the frame and barrel, as well as on the left side of the breechblock. Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being strawed and nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. All numbers are matching with the exception of the magazine, which is in the same serial number range, as well as the checkered wood grips, which are unnumbered. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their period blue finish, exhibiting a few small areas of wear and some areas of light thinning that show through to a pleasant brown patina overall. Bright bore, exhibiting mild inactive oxidation and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Strawed components are fine as reheated, retaining the vast majority of their finish overall. Grips show some light smooth and a few minor nicks to the diamonds overall, but are otherwise fine. MLW
