Standard configuration P.38 semi-automatic pistol manufactured at the Walther arsenal during the last year of World War II. The left side of the slide is stamped "P.38" followed by the serial number and "ac45". Bottom of barrel is stamped "fnh" indicating manufactured by Bohmische Waffenfabrik. "NHM Co." import stamp is present on the underside of the rear grip strap spur. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2-piece "positive" black plastic post-War Russian grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some minor areas of wear showing through to a pleasant brown patina as well as a few areas of pitting beneath the finish. Mirror bore, exhibiting some spots of light inactive oxidation in the lands as well on the the grooves, but otherwise retaining good strong rifling throughout. Post-War Russian grips are excellent, exhibiting a few minor marks from handling and storage overall. MLW
