Lot consists of (A) Moroccan red leather wallet with 5 compartments, with paper applied decorations of geometrics in light blues, reds, whites, and yellows. Early pull down lock made to aesthetically resemble a warded lock. CONDITION: Good, with some fraying to high edges and some tears to lining. Top compartments has a cut through center. Leather is supple and has some crazing throughout, with some stitching missing. (B) Early leather wallet with 6 compartments, with tounges marked with ink conversions (unclear what the conversions are for), inside flap marked "J.T. White July 16 1821 (illegible word) 5/6 / Chesterfield N H / County Cheshire" CONDITION: Very good with some minor handling marks and scrapes to leather. Some stitching has pulled on right side. Some crazing to leather, which is still supple. (C) Leather striker pouch with tinder, flint, and firesteel with curled ends. Escutcheon on lid marked "AW", probably for a previous owner. Old leather strap for affixing pouch have torn at ends, but drawstring is still present. CONDITION: Very good, pouch is worn to a soft, almost velvet, exterior, with some hardening and shine to high edges. Leather strap has hardened edges and some tears, but is largely still supple. Pouch is supple. A nice lot. EMW
