Made late 1943. "FJA" cartouche, in addition to 2 crossed cannon stamps and a faint "RA", all marked on the left side of the stock. Circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. Rack markings, "NN/104", on the left side of the stock. Remington barrel dated "9-43", under a crossed cannons cartouche. Standard blade front sight and milled peep rear. Front sight has an original sight protector attached. Most parts look to be Remington marked. Original parkerized finish. Straight grip wood stock with no finger grooves. Stock was lightly sanded at some point. Blued butt plate with checkering and a trapdoor for cleaning kit. Stock bands are blued as well. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with light wear. Stock has a few minor scratches, and light wear. Bore is clean overall, with strong 2 groove rifling. Muzzle gauges at a 0. Mechanically fine. JWA
