Made 1940-45. This gun was intended to be part of the Lend-Lease program, but most likely was never shipped, as it lacks British proofs. It is marked "U.S. PROPERTY" on the top of the frame. Standard markings on the barrel, with the company address and patent dates on top. Matching serials on the barrel, butt and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the inside of the crane and yolk. Round, pinned barrel with half moon front sight and U-notch frame rear. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Parkerized finish and case colored serrated trigger, in addition to a spurred hammer. Lanyard stud and ring are case colored. Original oil finished wood grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear and a few handling marks. Grips have a few dings and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp lockup and timing. Mechanically fine. JWA
